Q:are you planning to go see 'the beatles: the lost concert' film?

I can’t even remember if I heard about that coming out or not. How sad is that? Anyway, I have no idea. Maybe?

It would be pretty cool if people realized how much their words can affect others. Stop calling people “stupid” when they mess up something small. Stop acting like YOUR crap doesn’t stink.

Think about what you say before you say it.

I am tired of finding out that many of my friends have low self-esteem just because people have called them degrading names multiple times throughout their life.

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born 12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators.Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She was not expected to live.Their nurse did everything she could to make Brielle’s health better, but nothing she did was helping her. With nothing else to do, their nurse went against hospital policy and decided to place both babies in the same incubator. She left the twin girls to sleep and when when she returned she found a sight she could not believe. She called all the nurses and doctors and this is what they saw (refer to the picture above). As Brielle got closer to her sister, Kyrie put her small little arm around her, as if to hug and support her sister. From that moment on, Brielle’s breathing and heart rate stabilized and her health became normal. From then on, they decided to keep both babies together, because when they were together they kept each other alive.

It really, really sucks that people exaggerate or even lie about how bad their lives have been. Because I believe you. And then later on, when I see that you’re manipulating me, I have a hard time putting my foot down because I just…I hurt for what you TOLD me you went through, and I want you to overcome.

I don’t think I could ever accuse someone of lying about something like that, because when people have accused me of lying about the stuff I’VE gone through, it was the most hurtful thing ever. But at what point does it stop? At what point can I say, “Listen, I don’t think you’ve been totally truthful about your parents throwing you out and hating you for no reason like you say they do. I think you’re using it as an angle to guilt people into helping you, and that’s not beneficial to you or anyone around you. You’re better than that,” without someone just nixing me from their life?

How do you maintain relationships? How?

And even the friends that are actually honest about their life experience…I’ve lost most of the ones I’ve ever had. How can this be done? How can I maintain friendships that are based in honesty? Because it’s all great at first, and then somewhere along the line, feelings get hurt and NEVER talked about until the damage is irreparable. I feel like keeping friends around is like trying to keep marbles in a bag full of holes. I know I’ve done stuff wrongly. I know I’ve said things I shouldn’t have. But…I just want people around that won’t jet as soon as confrontation is necessary to get everything worked out. I just want friends that I don’t have to BEG to be honest with me and be a real friend to me, even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s exhausting. I’m feeling so exhausted from all of this. Even right now, I’m like, “Someone’s gonna read this and get all upset and then I’ll just have MORE drama to deal with.” But I have to get it out somehow. And for goodness’ sake, if you take issue with this, TALK TO ME ABOUT IT. I have no problem with resolving issues or apologizing for mistakes or actually being honest about how we feel. What I have a problem with is this fairy tale that everyone thinks relationships are where nothing’s ever wrong and confrontation is NEVER necessary. I’m just feeling so tired. So that’s it. From now on, I’m not babysitting anymore. Either you grow the hell up, be my friend and talk to me about what’s actually going on, or you’ll gradually fade out of my life like everyone else who just wanted a phony, dishonest “you’re okay, I’m okay” sad excuse for a friendship.

^^^ THIS. As children of God, we are supposed to keep our brothers and sisters in line, holding them accountable to their actions/words. How can we help one another if we can’t take constructive criticism? How can we help one another if we refuse to open our eyes and see our faults just because we don’t want to be told we are in the wrong?

You make mistakes. I make mistakes. I probably make plenty more mistakes than you do on a regular basis. Can we compromise here? Lets just shake hands and make sure we are both on His path to righteousness. I’ll tell you my honest opinion of your actions/words and you’ll do the same. Don’t you want to grow as a person? I know I do.

this is my brother two years ago. we were at the park, just me and him, and he turned to me and said “kayla, don’t you ever wish there were no bad people in the world?” i thought it to be a funny thing for a 5 year old to say, but shrugged it off. last year, he didnt come home from school, we thought that being only in grade prep, he might’ve decided to go home with his bestfriend without telling us, but he didn’t.  the school confirmed they saw him get on his school bus after the bell rang. but thats all we knew, the bus driver said that he had gotten off a stop early, my mother was frantically searching the neighborhood for him. we never found him. it’s been two years and we’re still looking for him, he was such a beautiful boy, and i cant help but think the worst. he could be anywhere in the world by now, so please, reblog this, no matter where you’re from, you could save a life. xx
